A 6-hour journey from Brno into the forested highlands of Moravia, where nature, history, and legend intertwine. After arriving in Vranov, we explore the hilltop monastery, its spiritual past, architecture, and the legacy of the Dietrichstein family, with scenic viewpoints and photo stops. We then begin an easy forest hike toward Babí lom, learning along the way about the origin of the mountain’s name, local folklore, pagan traditions, sacred hills, and the cultural landscape of the region.

We ascend the 560 m summit via a simple, scenic route, enjoy panoramic views, take photos, and sign the summit book. After descending, we visit the observation tower for more views and local history, then walk to Lelekovice (arrival ~15:00) before returning to Brno, reaching the city around 16:00.
